The City of Indian Wells is set to begin phase one of the Warner Trail Road Improvements Project, which will aims to improve the City's infrastructure, ensuring safer and smoother travel for motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists.

The first phase of the project is scheduled to start in June and continue through mid-August of this year. Phase one will include a range of critical upgrades, such as asphalt paving and repairs, roadway widening to accommodate a right-turn pocket, and storm drain repairs and concrete improvements (curb ramps, driveways, cross gutters, catch basins, sidewalk construction, etc.).

The project will also involve traffic signal modifications, signing and striping along Warner Trail and span from Gerald Ford Elementary School's southern driveway to Fred Waring Drive.

The Fred Waring Drive and Warner Trail intersection will undergo intermittent closures throughout the project, however the City of Indian Wells will send out closure notices as necessary and make efforts to minimize disruptions.

Indian Wells City Manager Chris Freeland commented on the project, “The Warner Trail Road Improvements Project displays our commitment to safe and efficient transportation while addressing immediate infrastructure needs. We are equally committed to providing pedestrian safety for students at Gerald Ford Elementary as well as the community of Indian Wells.”
