LINDALE, Texas ( KETK ) — The Lindale Eagles will be looking to make even more noise in the district of doom this season.

While they will have plenty of questions to answer on offense, namely at quarterback and on the offensive line, that’s not the case for the defense, which returns 8 starters and appears to be especially formidable in the front seven.

Lindale takes big win over undefeated Chapel Hill Bulldogs

They know what’s in store when district play rolls around with the likes of Chapel Hill, Kilgore and now Pine Tree, but head coach Chris Cochran says, the groundwork for this team was put in place, long before fall camp started.

“Love the kids and the work that they put in, so now it’s like we’ve been talking about, like, now’s the payoff,” said Cochran. “You went through a really hard offseason, you busted your tail this summer, now we get to come out here and have fun and do it together with some people that we love.”

Lindale will start their season a day early, as they open up at home against Hallsville on Thursday, August 29th.

Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. from Eagle Stadium.
