The college offers programs to help workers fill technical and industrial jobs at companies like SWEPCO.

Through the college, students can earn a two-year associate’s of applied science degree and a one-year level one certificate in electrical technology. These programs give students a foundation in electrical code, electrical theory, safety, residential and industrial wiring.

After earning their associate’s degree, students can choose to pursue a bachelor’s of arts and applied sciences at a four-year university.

Representatives from SWEPCO presented the check to the college in a ceremony at TC’s Nelson Administration Building on Aug. 9.
