According to a release, deputies responded to a call about a theft in progress at the Livingston Lawn and Garden where a suspect was taking “several zero-turn mowers from the business.”

The sheriff’s office said they were able to locate the man accused of stealing with a description of the vehicle and the trailer he was driving with DPS’ help.

“The suspect attempted to evade with his vehicle, but was captured near the 4000 block of US Highway 59. The suspect was identified by deputies, as Sebastian GerranXavior Green, 32 of New Caney,” the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said.

Green was reportedly found in possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine. The sheriff’s office said he also had an outstanding theft of property warrant out of Montgomery County.

The release said Green was charged with theft of property, two counts of possession of controlled substance and evading arrest with a vehicle.
