    Trinity County deputy who suffered stroke on duty a decade ago, passes away

    TRINITY COUNTY, Texas ( KETK ) – Trinity County Sheriff Woody Wallace said a former deputy that suffered a major stoke while on duty in 2013, passed away on Saturday.

    According to Ronald Clinton Driskell’s obituary , he became a deputy at the sheriff’s office because he loved serving other East Texans.

    Wallace said Driskell joined in 2013 but suffered a major stroke while on duty after being at the sheriff’s office for six months.

    “With high hopes and every intention of coming back to work as a deputy, Clint worked hard to overcome the challenges that left him partially paralyzed,” Wallace said.

    At 56-years-old Driskell passed away on Saturday, his obituary said.

    “We ask that you keep his family in your prayers as they begin life without their son, brother, father, uncle, cousin or friend,” Wallace said. “May Clint rest high on that mountain and in the arms of our Lord and may God comfort his family and friends.”
