The people’s goal is to raise money and awareness.

One community member, Zeke Zewick, who’s been in the area for almost 50 years understands the meaning of change. He has seen it happen over the years and what has kept him in town all these years is the love he has for the community.

“I’m an Edom artist, I’ve been here since 1974,” Zewick said. “I work hard to support the community and to keep it developing as an art town and it just means my life and my happiness.”

He, along with other artists and community members of Edom, want to share their talents with the world. Currently, the Chamber of Commerce is fundraising for three different projects to enhance the area with local art.

The Edom Enhancement Capital Campaign’s goal is to raise $45,000.

“We said let’s form a capital campaign, fundraising campaign, for people to donate. So we can come together and make these things happen ” Edom’s Chamber of Commerce Secretary Georgia Christensen said. “It’s $20 here and $500 there and now we’ve raised a little over $20,000 so far.”

A mural and new town sculpture welcome sign are already in the works and could be completed as early as this year. People can donate to the campaign on their GoFundMe.

What’s up next after that is updating the town’s museum. The town is still in the process of raising money to complete these projects.
