    Henderson PD identify suspect of pharmacy robbery

    UPDATE: Strong-Hurt Pharmacy reopened and the Henderson Police Department said the armed robbery suspect was taken into custody.

    The suspect was identified as Justin Tremane Simon, officials said.

    The police department said they executed a search warrant at around 10 a.m. on Monday and several items were recovered.

    Simon was booked into the Rusk County Jail and was charged with aggravated robbery and possession of a controlled substance.


    HENDERSON, Texas ( KETK ) – A Henderson pharmacy is closed until further notice after an alleged armed robbery occurred Monday morning.

    According to Strong-Hurt Pharmacy on 111 E Main St, their store was robbed around 7 a.m.

    Henderson Police Department Public Information Officer Brian Bathke said officers were on the scene less than three minutes and there is one unknown suspect.

    At the time of the alleged robbery, only employees were at the store, Bathke said.

    Pharmacy officials said all of their staff is safe but were startled.

    “We will provide an update as soon as we’re able to serve our wonderful community again,” Strong-Hurt Pharmacy said.

    Bathke said detectives are on the scene collecting evidence and the investigation is ongoing.
