4 injured after 5-vehicle crash on US Highway 79 in Rusk County

RUSK COUNTY, Texas ( KETK ) – The Rusk County Emergency Management and Fire Marshal’s Office said that a five-vehicle crash blocked traffic and injured 4 people on Monday.

According to Rusk County officials, the crash happened on US Highway 79 South, just before the intersection of State Highway 42 and FM 1798 near Pleasant Grove and County Road 4193D at around 5:33 p.m. on Monday.

4 people who sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash were taken taken by EMS to local hospitals, officials said.

The crash was cleared off of the roadway at around 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
