SFA Gardens to host annual Fall plant sale

NACOGDOCHES, Texas ( KETK ) – Stephen F. Austin State University is hosting its annual Fabulous Fall Festival Plant Sale in October.

According to a release, the plant sale will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Oct. 12 at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center. SFA said that the sale will feature “hard to find ‘Texas-tough’ plants” including trees like Japanese maples, red buds, bald cypress and more.

The university said that a full list of the available plants is available on the SFA Gardens website.

“This very popular event helps fund SFA Gardens’ staff member salaries and daily operations. The areas under the SFA Gardens umbrella include the Mast Arboretum, Pineywoods Native Plant Center, Ruby M. Mize Azalea Garden, Gayla Mize Garden and Kingham Children’s Garden. Visiting the gardens is free, and plant trails are open to the public every day from dawn to dusk.”
