KILGORE, Texas ( KETK ) – Kilgore’s Hungarian restaurant will close its doors for good next month.

Brigitta and Mike Csabai, owners of Brigitta’s Hungarian Restaurant, announced on Sunday that they will close on Oct. 5 after seven years of serving East Texas.

“We are honored to be able to serve you for seven years, and create something from nothing,” according to the restaurant’s announcement. “We filled a void of having a unique ethnic restaurant that is much needed in the country. We learned a lot through this journey, went through obstacles, survived COVID, managed to stay open after our roof was blown off (with your help, of course). We couldn’t have done it without you. We are so grateful for all these experiences, it made us who we are today.”

Brigitta’s is selling “almost everything” inside their restaurant, including kitchen appliances, furniture, decor, pots, pans, plates and more. They also have a gift shop selling jewelry, linens and more that closes Sept. 28.
