Missing Tatum man found dead near pond

UPDATE: The Panola County Sheriff’s Office said Arthur was found dead on Wednesday near a pond.

According to the sheriff’s office Arthur was dropped off by family members off Highway 43 on Sunday morning to go fishing.

Texas Search and Rescue, as well as K9 teams assisted in the search for Arthur. At around 10:15 a.m. Arthur was found dead at a pond.

The sheriff’s office said an autopsy has been ordered and they extend their condolences to Arthur’s family.

PANOLA COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – The Panola County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man that was reported missing on Sunday.

According to the department, Danizy Arthur, 43, of Tatum was reportedly last seen on September 22 by family members off Highway 43 outside Tatum.
