Police: 1 dead after domestic fight leads to shooting in Longview

LONGVIEW, Texas ( KETK ) – One male is dead following a fight between family members according to the Longview Police Department.

According to Longview PD, at approximately 2:15 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Ethel Street following a report of a shooting. Officials said that on the scene they located a male who had been shot.

Police said that the victim was taken to a local hospital, but later died in the hospital.

Officials said an investigation determined that the shooting was the result of a fight between family members and the altercation escalated to the shooting. The other family member involved allegedly remained on scene and is cooperating in the investigation, police said.
