POLK COUNTY, Texas ( KETK ) – A student was taken into custody by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office after a report of a terroristic threat on Thursday.

Wave of violent threats hit Texas schools

School staff reported the incident to a sergeant doing his daily walkthrough of Big Sandy High School. Both the school and the sheriff’s office began investigating and “immediately identified” the student they said is responsible for the threat.

Appropriate charges will be filed, according to the sheriff’s office. They did not release the student’s identity.
