SMALL TOWN LIVE: Magnificent Mineola, home of the Iron Horse Heritage Festival

MINEOLA, Texas ( KETK ) – KETK’s Isaac Ramirez was up in Wood County on Thursday to visit with the residents of magnificent Mineola.

The historic town recently celebrated their 150th anniversary and they’ll be holding their annual Iron Horse Heritage Festival this weekend. Isaac spoke with Danielle Vance and Daren Beaudo with the Mineola Chamber of Commerce about the appeal of their town and their plans for the festival.

Later, Isaac stopped by downtown Mineola for a bite to eat and to talk with Jason Herring from Cowburners BBQ & Taproom about their brewery and what he loves about Mineola.

Isaac also got to stop by and talk to BJ Gold with the Kindness Kottage, a 41-year-old charity resale shop and food pantry that’s dedicated to helping the people of Mineola. To learn more about their work, visit Kindness Kottage online .
