LIST: 2024 National Night Out events with East Texas police departments

TYLER, Texas ( KETK ) – The National Night Out is just around the corner on Tuesday, Oct. 1 and that means police departments will be out meeting with communities all across East Texas.

KETK has put together the following list of National Night Out events from around East Texas.

ARP

• The Arp Police Department National Night Out is going to have free pizza, a K9 demonstration, bounce houses, an obstacle course, face painting, coloring books and crayons, children’s IDs and a meet and greet. The event will be held at Arp City Park from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

ATHENS

• The Athens Police Department is holding their National Night Out event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Kiwanis Park this year. They’ll have tours of their many vehicles, firetrucks and ambulances, along with food trucks and vendors.

BROWNSBORO

• The Brownsboro Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting their National Night Out at the Brownsboro City Park baseball field from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

BULLARD

• The Bullard Police Department is having their National Night Out event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday in downtown Bullard. Bullard’s event will include free food and kids activities.

EWELL

• The Ewell, Texas Volunteer Fire Department is hosting their National Night Out event at 2817 FM 593 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. They’re planning on serving chicken spaghetti and they’ll also a bounce house.

GILMER

• The Redemption Worship Center in Gilmer is hosting a National Night Out event from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. They’ll have free hot dogs, drinks, bounce houses and more.

HENDERSON

• The Henderson Police Department is having their National Night Out event at Fair Park on Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The free event will have live music, vendors, food and drinks.

JACKSONVILLE

• The Jacksonville Police Department is having their National Night Out event on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in downtown Jacksonville.

JEFFERSON

• Marion County first responders are having a Battle of the Badges blood drive with Carter BloodCare for their National Night Out at W.F. Lockett Stadium in Jefferson on Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will have free hamburgers, hotdogs, drinks, ice cream, snow cones, popcorn, games, door prizes, a car bash, face and nail painting, bikes, scooters and more.

LINDEN

• A National Night Out event will be held in Linden at 604 Highway 8 North from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. They’ll have a bounce house, hotdogs and snow cones along with a medic helicopter and other emergency vehicles.

LONGVIEW

• There are many National Night Out events happening across Longview on Tuesday. A full map of the city’s registered parties can be found by visiting the City of Longview online .

MALAKOFF

• The cities of Log Cabin, Caney City and Star Harbor are joining the City of Malakoff’s National Night Out event which is being held at 503 N Terry St. from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

MOUNT PLEASANT

• The Christian Motorcyclists Association Heaven’s Heirs Chapter #1110 is hosting a National Night Out event in Mount Pleasant’s Dellwood Park from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. They’ll be playing games and serving free hotdogs, chips and drinks.

MYRTLE SPRINGS

• The Myrtle Springs Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a National Night Out on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Christ is King Reformed Baptist Church. They’re going to have free snow cones and a DIY smores station set up for the event.

NACOGDOCHES

• The Nacogdoches Police Department is hosting a National Night Out event with food and games at the Nacogdoches Recreation Center from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
• There’s also going to be a National Night Out event on the Stephen F. Austin State University Campus on Tuesday.

PALESTINE

• The City of Palestine Police Department shared a list of many individual National Night Out block parties that are being held around Palestine on Tuesday.
• Shiron-Ryu Westwood at 3120 W. Oak St. will have bounce houses, a dunking booth, face painting, food, drinks and drawings for prizes for their National Night Out event at 5 p.m.
• Palestine Grace Church’s National Night Out event is being held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will have hamburgers, hotdogs, drinks and music.

POINT

• A National Night Out event is being hosted at Point City Hall from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. They’ll have Gelly Ball, snow cones, snacks and drinks for the event.

RUSK

• The Rusk Police Department is holding their National Night Out event in downtown Rusk from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday. The event will feature free food, games, bounce houses, raffles and music.

TEXARKANA

• The Texarkana Mobile Home Park at 117 Parkway Drive will be hosting a National Night Out event from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The event will be packed with free food, live entertainment, door prizes, vendors and a petting zoo.

TYLER

• The Tyler Police Department’s Municipal Court National Night Out is being held on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Municipal Court parking lot at 813 N. Broadway Ave. They’re offering food, games, face painting and more.
• The Empowerment Community Development Corporation is having the North Tyler Night Out and the North Tyler Chili Loaf Festival at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. The event, which is being held at 309 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., will feature live entertainment from De’Zayden and Friends.
• The Tyler Police Department is also having a National Night Out Latino event at Hillside Park at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. They’ll have live entertainment from la Danza Conchera de East Texas.
• St. Francis Episcopal Church is hosting a National Night Out event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in their parking lot on Tuesday. They’re having food, games and a free throw contest.

TROUP

• The Troup Community Development Corporation is having their National Night Out event at the Cameron-J. Jarvis Troup Municipal Library at 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Tuesday. They’re going to have bounce houses, a cop-dunking booth and giveaways for the whole family to enjoy.

WEST MOUNTAIN

• The West Mountain Volunteer Fire Department’s National Night Out event will feature food, games, tours and gifts for the children. The event is being held at their firehouse at 7613 Pacal Road from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

WHITEHOUSE

• The Whitehouse Police Department will have free food, games, music and East Texas’s own Kornpop the Clown for their National Night Out event. The Whitehouse National Night Out will be held at Whitehouse City Park from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

WILLS POINT

• A National Night Out event will be hosted in downtown Wills Point from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Free hotdogs, popcorn, drinks, child ID kits and traffic safety materials will be given out at the event.
