Texarkana crosswalks temporarily closed for repainting project

TEXARKANA, USA ( KTAL/KMSS ) — A set of crosswalks in downtown Texarkana will get a fresh coat of paint soon.

On the morning of Saturday, October 19, the two crosswalks at Pine Street near the Bi-state Justice Center will be closed to update the faded paint. They will remain closed for five days to allow for curing and drying.

The other two sides of the intersection at East and West Broad Street will have their crosswalks redone on Saturday, October 26. They will also remain closed for the next five days.

Local artist Darlene Taylor will be the one who will be repainting the crosswalks with an all-new design.
