Five Below selects Kettering for newest location

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) — Construction of the Miami Valley’s newest Five Below location is underway.

According to records obtained through the city of Kettering, a new Five Below store is proposed to operate at 172 East Stroop Road, just beside Ross Dress For Less at Town & Country Shopping Center in Kettering. The website for CASTO , the mall’s property manager, displays the specialty discount store as a “key tenant.”

Approved plans show the new location is expected to measure 11,718 square feet. Proposed plans for inside of the store call for coolers, both manned and self-checkouts, sales floor mirror and more.

In recent months and years, Town and Country has undergone changes to its tenants.

Last year, Ross Dress for Less replaced Stein Mart, which closed all stores in 2020. Due to bankruptcy, longtime tenant Tuesday Morning was forced to close in 2023. Both Bath and Body Works and Panera Bread have been subject to remodels.

A city of Kettering spokesperson told 2 NEWS neither budget information nor schedule has been provided to the city. 2 NEWS reached out to CASTO, as well as Five Below for comment on a projected opening time. We have not yet heard back from either.
