Woman Fatally Shot at Home in La Puente

LA PUENTE, Calif., Oct. 17 (KNN) — Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the shooting death of a woman at a home in La Puente late Wednesday night.

At approximately 11:43 p.m., LASD deputies from the Industry station, along with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, responded to a reported gunshot victim inside a house in the 900 block of Fickewirth Avenue.

One victim was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. Sheriff’s deputies had the scene taped off and were talking to a resident.

According to an update of the incident via an LASD press release, the female adult victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The suspect is unknown, and the investigation is ongoing. There is no additional information at this time.
