Zero spent his whole life with his previous owner, who couldn’t keep him after they were deployed overseas. He’s a very smart and playful dog for his age and gets along with children.
Starbucks announces permanent closure of Alki store, customers start petition
SEATTLE — Starbucks has announced the permanent closure of its Alki store which has caused some customers to start a petition trying to save it. In a statement, the company announced it will be closing its Alki location at 2742 Alki Ave. SW. The announcement said it would be adjusting the operations of two stores in the West Seattle area.
Owner of Former Lusty Lady Building Purchases 27-Unit Marketside Flats in Seattle for $10.2MM
Another multifamily community in Seattle has traded hands recently. Marketside Flats, a 27-unit apartment building, was purchased for $10.2 million, or approximately $377,777 per unit, according to King County public records. A report from the Puget Sound Business Journal shows that the buyer was entrepreneur Andrew Conru, who also owns the former Lusty Lady building on Post Alley, which sits nearby. The seller was an entity affiliated with Mack Real Estate Group.
Sports bar Slim Goody opening this weekend on Ballard Ave
A new sports bar is opening on Ballard Ave: It’s called Slim Goody, and it’s opening on Friday, July 19 in the former Great State Burger location at 5411 Ballard Ave. Great State Burger closed in Feb. 2023—it’s been empty since Slim Goody announced its plans to open in April this year.
Seattle mayor proposed $1.7M in hiring freeze savings to boost public safety
(The Center Square) – Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell has proposed $1.7 million to go toward a public safety initiatives as part of his proposed mid-year supplemental budget package. The money would come from savings generated by a hiring freeze Harrell announced earlier this year, as well as anticipated healthcare cost savings.
