“IN THE HEIGHTS”: The newest production from Gainesville Community Playhouse, “In the Heights,” created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, tells the universal story of a vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood — a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. Catch a show at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays, July 19-Aug. 11, at the Gainesville Community Playhouse, located at 4039 NW 16th Blvd. Tickets are $24 for general admission, $20 for seniors and $12 for students.
