    OKC Animal Welfare seeking adoptive families for ‘Clear Shelter’ event

    OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – OKC Animal Welfare has announced its latest pet driven adoption event in association with multiple rescue organizations called “Clear The Shelters”.

    OKC Animal Welfare staff confirmed, monies are now being raised to support the animals in its shelter with matching donations from several organizations.

    Clear The Shelters , NBCUniversal Local’s nationwide pet adoption and donation campaign, kicked off its 10th annual adoption initiative on August 1. The adoption campaign is set to run until September 10 and donations can be made to any participating shelter or rescue of your choice.

    What is Clear The Shelters?

    Clear The Shelters sees NBC and Telemundo stations nationwide partner with animal shelters and rescues in their local communities to promote pet adoptions and to fundraise.

    How many Clear The Shelters pets have been adopted?

    Clear The Shelters surpassed a landmark of 1 million all-time adoptions last year. The total currently sits at over 1.02 million.
