One arrested in connection to 2023 murder in Seminole

SEMINOLE, Okla. ( KFOR ) – One person has been taken into custody in connection to the 2023 murder of 33-year-old Jacob Washington .

The Seminole Nation Lighthorse Police Department says Washington was reported missing after being last seen on Friday, May 12, 2023.

Investigators say he was seen leaving work in his 2013 Chevy 1500 truck in Seminole near Sportsman Lake.

Less than a week after he was last seen, authorities confirmed that Washington’s body and his truck were found.

On August 29, 2024, the Seminole Nation Lighthorse Police say John Nolte II was arrested by Texas Rangers and was later booked into the Seminole County Jail on a warrant for charges related to the murder of Washington.

Officials say subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. No more information is available at this time.
