OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) – One man was found dead Monday night in a northeast Oklahoma City motel after a shooting.

“Officers right now do not have anybody in custody,” Sgt. Dillon Quirk with the Oklahoma City Police Department said Tuesday morning.

The Oklahoma City Police Department responded to the Lincoln Inn Hotel & Suites Monday night around 8:30 p.m.

“They told us numerous calls came into 911 regarding gunshots being fired,” Sgt. Rob Robertson said on scene Monday night.

When they got there, a man was found with a gunshot wound in one of the rooms. They tried CPR, but he was pronounced dead on scene. Right now, investigators don’t know who did it or why.

This marks the second shooting at that location in roughly a month’s time . Back in early August, those same 911 calls came in. At that time 28-year-old Joel Rodriguez was found dead in a hallway on the second floor. Just over a week later, multiple suspects were arrested in that case.

As of right now, police don’t have a suspect description for this one as the case moves forward.

“If anyone has any information, we just ask that you call our crime stoppers line,” Robertson said on scene.

Police do not believe the two incidents that happened there are connected.
