BLAINE COUNTY, Okla. ( KFOR ) — The Blaine County Sheriff Office says an arrest warrant has been issued for a Blaine County woman, after animals found in her care were severely neglected.

The Blaine County Sheriff Department says they received a call after a woman picked up a dog from a property near the town of Canton that needed attention after being found in bad shape.

Police say when the deputy arrived to the home, more than six animals were observed chained up on the property and another held inside of a camper in the extreme heat with no air conditioning.

Court documents revealed, the woman told the deputy one dog was chained up “so he wouldn’t be hit by a car.”

A goat and two pigs on the property had no signs of mistreatment, according to the Sheriff’s deputy.

A warrant has been issued for Lisa Bainbridge. She faces one count of animal cruelty.
