Oklahoma company steps in to fix roof for El Reno family

EL RENO, Okla. ( KFOR ) — An El Reno family said they are thankful after a local company followed through on its promise, by stepping in to fix their roof after they had already paid a different contractor.

News 4 first reported about El Reno homeowner Beverly Knight’s predicament back in August .

Knight said her family hired Trimaster Construction in November 2023. Only for that company to never come back and stop returning their calls.

“He has just put my family through so much,” Knight told News 4 in August.

The folks at Oklahoma City based ‘Trademark Exteriors Restoration’ stepped in to do their roof and more, at no cost.

“One of my customers was watching the news and right after the the news, she called me,
she said, ‘you got to play the hero. You have to help this family,'” said Priscila Brayn, Project Manager with Trademark Exteriors Restoration.

Brayn and her team at Trademark Exteriors Restoration quickly realized they would need to do more than simply just replace the roof.

“We were able to tackle the back patio, after we finished the roof, we are going to take care of a major leak that they have in the master bedroom,” said Brayn.

“These are the most wonderful people you can ever meet in your life,” said Knight.

Brayn said she’s heard about other contractors “ghosting” clients after being paid and wants to prove that there are still good people in the industry.

“It kind of damages the reputation of all of us,” said Brayn.

Finally now after almost a year, Trademark Exteriors was able to make Knight’s family home feel like a home again.

“This is the best day of my life. Thank you, channel four. You are wonderful. You have done everything we have asked you to do,” said Knight.
