    62-year-old inmate walks away from Halfway House in Ponca City

    PONCA CITY, Okla. ( KFOR ) — Officials from Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC) says a 62-year-old inmate walked away from a Halfway House in Ponca City Saturday morning.

    According to ODOC, Lester Hampton, 62, an inmate at the Bridgeway Halfway House in Ponca City was last seen at 11:51 a.m. on Saturday.

    Officials say Hampton is serving at 10-year sentence for second degree burglary in Sequoyah County.

    Anyone with information on Hampton’s whereabouts are asked not to approach him and to call 9-1-1.

    Anybody that gets to a halfway house and then walks away must love prison! As soon as he's caught he will get escape charges and go right back! I believe that's an automatic 7 years?!?!
