Family offers $10,000 in double murder cold case

OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) — There’s a new effort to solve a cold case dating back four years when Dominique Knight and Madison Carter were found dead in a car parked in front of a home in Spencer.

To this day, there have been no arrests made.

Investigators hoped surveillance video would provide them with clues, but it never happened.

Now, the family of Madison Carter is offering a $10,000 reward.

“We believe the shooter approached the Lexus. They were in around 2:15 a.m. We have reached a number of leads that have run cold,” said Sheriff Tommie Johnson III, Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office.

Four years later, questions still loom for Madison Carter’s family.

“The day that my brother was….was murdered, left our family devastated,” said Giyoa Wright, Madison Carter’s sister.

Tears are still fresh as Madison’s family continues to mourn, knowing he leaves behind a life and kids.

“That’s what makes me sad the most, is that he will never be able to be present for those milestones in his children’s life,” said Wright.

“I don’t have a lot of words to say. I’m just still confused. Like. Like, how did I get here,” said Tana Carter, Madison Carter’s mother.

Carter said they’ve been saving every penny for the reward.

“I’ve been grieving and now I’m ready to do other stuff other than grieving. And I knew this time would come,” said Carter.

The family is continuing to beg for help and hopes they will finally get some closure to the grief they’ve experienced for the last four years.

“I know somebody out there knows something. If you know something, say something. Cause this could very well be your family here tomorrow or today,” said Kimala Hubbard, Tana Carter’s sister.

There will be a candle lit in memory of both victims at a local ceremony marking the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims on September 25 at Memorial Park on NW 36th at 7 p.m.
