MCLOUD, Okla. ( KFOR ) – Fire crews responded to a large barn fire in McLoud Friday morning.

Officials say the fire began around 3 a.m. near Hazel Dell and Highway Drive. Multiple agencies arrived on scene to find the barn engulfed in flames.

According to the McLoud Fire Department, they are now letting the fire burn due to its size. The barn belongs to Nowakowski Farms, whose is locally known for selling sweet corn.

“We’re kind of just waiting it out at this point, we expect that this roof is going to collapse at any point,” said Captain Richard Salzar with the McLoud Fire Department. “As soon as we get a chance to go in and do a little digging we might be able to know a little bit more.”

No injuries have been reported, but the barn and the equipment inside cannot be recovered.

Fire officials say they will investigate the cause of this fire once it burns out.
