    Man found guilty of second degree murder in 2023 shooting

    OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) – An Oklahoma County man has been found guilty of Second Degree Murder in connection to a September 2023 shooting.

    According to the Oklahoma County Seventh District, Juanterra Givens was charged for the 2023 murder of 25-year-old Christopher Price.

    Officials say Price was at the Oxford Inn on Lincoln Blvd. when he was shot in the back. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. Givens left the scene , but was arrested three days later by Oklahoma City Police and the U.S. Marshals.

    During the investigation, authorities learned that there was an altercation between Givens and a man on the second-floor of the hotel. Officials say Givens pulled out a gun and fired it. It was later discovered that Price was not involved in the original altercation.

    The jury suggested a 10 year prison sentence. Givens will be formally sentenced by the Court on October 18, 2024.
