    Authorities are investigating after 36-year-old man, 3-year-old son died in Waynoka

    WAYNOKA, Okla. (KFOR) — An investigation is underway after a 36-year-old man and his 3-year-old son were found shot Friday night in Waynoka.

    According to Woods County Sheriff’s Office, authorities responded to a reported self-inflicted gunshot wound just before 11:40 p.m. Friday at a home near 10823 County Road in Waynoka.

    Officials say when officers arrived, 36-year-old Tyler Hummer was dead and his 3-year-old son was alive. Both the father and son had gunshot wounds.

    The 3-year-old boy was taken to a local hospital where he later died due to his injuries, Woods County Sheriff’s Office says.

    The investigation is still ongoing.
