Several critically injured after wrong-way crash in North OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) – Several people were critically injured in a Sunday evening crash involving many vehicles near N. Pennsylvania Ave. and W. Memorial Rd.

Oklahoma City Police reported that a man was driving down the wrong side of the road after 5 p.m. and hit oncoming traffic.

The man is said to have hit seven vehicles and sent three people to the hospital in critical condition. In total (including the male driver) there were eight cars involved.

According to police, there are others with less serious injuries but no specific number as of now.

Officials are still on the scene as of 6:30 p.m. investigating the crash and say traffic will be slow for quite some time.
