“She was the best person you could ever ask for to have in your life,” says Katlyn.

Katlyn says Byfield was on her way to work when the deadly crash happened.

She described her 27-year-old sister as the light of her life.

“I’ve lived with her for my whole life basically, and she’s taken care of me and my son,” says Katlyn.

She says her sister was also a mother.

Katlyn said, “She loved her family and her kids more than anything.”

Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Katlyn said her older sister was the glue keeping their family together.

“I’ve lived with her for years and she was the person that kept this house together and made everything happy for us,” said Katlyn.

The family told News 4 they’re heartbroken but are doing the best they can during this difficult time.
