UPDATE: Grass fire evacuations lifted in Glencoe

UPDATE @ 8:00 P.M.

Officials say crews are continuing to make progress knocking down several hot spots.

Residents that were evacuated are able to return to their homes.

Stillwater Fire Department says there are no further evacuations and nobody has been injured.

GLENCOE, Okla. ( KFOR ) — Multiple fire agencies responded to a large grass fire near Glencoe on Tuesday that has caused evacuations in the area.

According to Stillwater Fire Department, crews responded to a grass fire near Prairie and Richmond Roads. The fire has spread in the area of Fairgrounds and VFW Roads near Glencoe.

Evacuations have begun in the neighborhood of Katie Lane in Glencoe.
