    Cleveland Co. Sheriff requests OSBI investigation into K-9 death

    NORMAN, Okla. (KFOR) — The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office says Sheriff Chris Amason has requested an investigation from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation into the death of K-9 Dolar.

    Dolar was reportedly found dead inside a CCSO unit assigned to his handler during training. The deputy has been placed on administrative leave as the investigation continues.

    The CCSO also says they will soon release details about a memorial service to honor Dolar’s life and service.

    If a citizen was responsible for the K-9s death they would be charged for killing a police officer.
