After two decades of planning and two years of construction, the Loves Planetarium at Science Museum Oklahoma opened to the public on Friday.

The state of the art, out of this world, technology takes you on a journey through the night sky.

“When the light pollution goes down and the stars come up, you’ll get chills. I promise,” said Marshall.

Waylon Troyer, the Planetarium Director at Science Museum Oklahoma says it’s an experience you can’t get anywhere else.

“Being able to visit a planetarium, not only do you get the incredible views of our night sky, but it also gives you an opportunity to zoom out a little bit and to get an idea of how big everything really is out in the universe,” said Troyer.

Every show includes a live presenter. It’s an attraction many are expected to gravitate towards.

“We’re offering young audience programming, Spanish programming and interactive programming,” the Director of Communications for Science Museum Oklahoma.
