    Annual Red Kettle Ringing Campaign seeks volunteers

    OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – If you are looking to do the most good for Central Oklahoma in a festive way during the holiday season, The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers for the Annual Red Kettle Bell Ringing Campaign.

    Registration is currently underway at The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma for volunteers to ring in the season to become bell ringers while helping those in need of social services such as food assistance, shelter, and utility support.

    Registration is now open from November 14 through December 24, according to Salvation Army officials.

    “When you volunteer to ring a bell, you’re supporting your community. The funds raised through the Red Kettle Campaign stay here in Central Oklahoma.”

    Volunteers can expect to ring a bell at one the The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle locations with shifts opportunities ranging from:

    • 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
    • 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
    • 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

    Volunteers are also encouraged to add their festive touch by wearing holiday attire, bringing music, or creating memorable experiences for shoppers, says Salvation Army.

    Individuals and groups, such as businesses, church groups, or families can volunteer to ring for the Red Kettle Campaign and get creative and split shifts “if” need be.
