STILLWATER, Okla. (KFOR) — It is apparently the hottest ticket in town. “The Boys From Oklahoma” tour, featuring Cross Canadian Ragweed, is coming to Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater next April.

OSU Athletics says even they have been “blown away” by the response.

However, there is now good news for fans who lost hope in finding a seat.

OSU Athletics listened to the cry of fans after many were unable to get tickets before they were sold out.

Shows will now be added on Thursday and Sunday on that same weekend in April, and students we talked to are pumped.

“I’m so excited, I really hope I get a ticket,” said Garrett Buxton, freshman at OSU.

OSU students are hopeful the second time is the charm, after the headache that was trying to buy a ticket to “The Boys From Oklahoma” tour Monday morning, featuring Cross Canadian Ragweed and The Turnpike Troubadours.

“The girl beside me in class was talking about how one of her friends was like only a little bit behind her in line and like, she got tickets, but her friend didn’t,” said Flinn Burrell, freshman at OSU.

“She was online for about four hours waiting in line, no tickets,” said James Winn, freshman at OSU.

Some even said they missed class trying to buy a ticket.

“Got in the queue at perfectly 10 a.m. and it took me until about 11:30 a.m. to finally get my spot in queue and be able to buy a ticket and by then all the tickets within my price range were completely gone,” Buxton said.

Students and the university were shocked at how quickly both shows were sold out.

“I knew it was going to be high demand,” Buxton said.

OSU Athletics taking to ‘X’ expressing their shock in how fast the tour sold out, which prompted them to take action.

Just a few hours later, they announced two more shows, Thursday, April 10 and Sunday, April 13, due to the overwhelming demand, which has students hopeful again.

“I know it’s very disappointing for some people because you do try really, really hard, and then sometimes it doesn’t really work out,” Burrell said. “But, I hope everyone who wants tickets gets them.”

“This is Oklahoma legendary music right here,” Buxton said. “Even if I don’t get a ticket, I’ll be in that parking lot about 2 hours before the show starts getting ready with everyone else.”

Ticket for the new Thursday and Sunday show go on sale tomorrow at noon.
