    Authorities confirm identity of LeFlore man missing since 2021

    BENGAL, Okla. (KFOR) – The LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office alongside the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations (OSBI) have identified the remains of 25-year-old Tanner Armstrong McKosky.

    According to police, McKosky was last seen at a residence in Bengal when the investigation begin on April 25, 2021. On September 26, 2024, authorities were requested to investigate skeletal remains located in a wooded area northeast of Bengal. The remains were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for identification and to determine a cause and manner of death, said OSBI officials.

    On October 8, the Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the remains as Tanner McKosky while the cause of death is still being determined, said authorities.

    The case is still under investigation.
