    Man found dead near NW OKC liquor store, police say

    OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Oklahoma City Police is trying to connect the dots after a man was murdered Saturday night near Northwest 89th and Western.

    “They found one male deceases,” says Jon Skuta with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

    Oklahoma City Police say they responded to a shots fired call and found the victim shot to death in the parking lot of a liquor store.

    A man working at a nearby gas station didn’t want to go on camera but told News 4 he was startled by the gunshots and worried he and his customers might have to take cover.

    Sunday morning, a possible break in the investigation lead officers to a neighborhood near Southeast 23rd and Bryant.

    Skuta says, “Santa Fe officers located a vehicle associated with are believed to be associated with a homicide that occurred last night in the 9000 block of Northwestern Avenue.”

    Police say there were two people inside of a home where the car was found.

    “Our hostage negotiators were here on scene and we were able to talk them out of the house pretty quickly,” says Skuta.

    As for possible suspects, police say they have taken a few people of interest into custody.

    Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
