    Community Public Safety Advisory Board announces Ward 2 session Oct. 24

    OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Residents in Oklahoma City are invited to attend the Community
    Public Safety Advisory Board
    (CPSAB) information session held on October 24 to address public safety.

    The free event is set to host CPSAB, an independent committee, in reviewing complaint processes and investigations involving public safety officers. Ward 2 Councilperson James Cooper alongside OKC’s Public Safety Partnership Implementation team member Andrea Grayson are expected to be in attendance sharing insights and answering any concerns surrounding safety protocols.

    “The advisory board plays an integral role in enhancing community trust and confidence through education and communication,” Grayson said. “This information session and others that will take place in wards throughout Oklahoma City in the coming months, provides a chance for people to learn about the board’s activities and purpose in enhancing public safety for all residents.”

    • Address number and types of cases reviewed by the CPSAB

    “We are passionate about building trust between OKC residents and public safety through transparency, education and communication,” Councilperson Cooper said. “I hope people join us for a brief part of their evening to learn about important work four years in the making – public safety improvements including our city’s first alternative response to 911 mental health calls, clarity regarding where residents submit police complaints and compliments and accountability work the CPSAB provides regarding policing.”
