BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Six men were arrested after detectives stopped a stolen vehicle in Bakersfield.

Officers with the California Highway Patrol’s Kern County Auto Theft Task Force say Daniel Garcia Mendez, Randall Vincent Searcy, Kyle Douglas Cordoneir, Timothy Ventura, Zachary Shane Osteen, and Jaron Ellis were arrested recently for allegedly possessing stolen items and illegal weapons.

Mendez and Searcy were arrested during a traffic stop for allegedly possessing a stolen vehicle, being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a ‘zip gun’, and alleged violation of probation terms.

The investigation led detectives to a nearby residence where Cordoneir, Ventura, Osteen and Ellis were arrested. Multiple stolen items and illegal weapons were recovered, according to CHP.
