BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A short, but much needed cooling trend arrives Wednesday in Kern County.

The cooling trend is expected to last through Friday as temperatures will surge
    back upward through the weekend.

    Weather Wednesday: Wildfire season

The return of the ridge will also mean the return of much above normal temperatures for our area with HeatRisk in the major category in the Kern County Deserts by Saturday and in the San Joaquin Valley by Monday.
