    84-year-old Bodfish man accidentally drowned in Kern River: Coroner

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s office has released the cause of death for an 84-year-old man who died in the Kern River back in July.

    Manuel Frank Vejar died of an accidental drowning on July 15 around 5:11 p.m. in the 2700 block of Kern River Canyon Road in Bodfish, the coroner said.

    Officials said Vejar’s cause of death is drowning and the manner of death has been ruled an accident.
