City of Tehachapi presents ‘Green Street Get Down’

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The city of Tehachapi and Westlane Brewing are partnering up for the Green Street Get Down this weekend.

Officials with the city of Tehachapi say the Green Street Get Down is set for Aug. 17 in downtown Tehachapi on Green Street. The event is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The get down will feature live music from Yachty by Nature and Joe Peters.

The cover band Yachty by Nature will take the crowd back to the 70s and 80s with cover songs by Hall & Oates, Toto and Steely Dan.

Joe Peters is making a name for himself in country music and he is a Bakersfield native, according to city officials. He has opened for major label acts such as Trace Atkins, Lainey Wilson, Cody Johnson and more.

Admission to the event is free, according to city officials. Local breweries will be serving craft beer and free water and refreshments will be provided by the Tehachapi Vineyard Church.
