    Coroner IDs Texas man who died in crash on Hwy 33

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified a Texas man who died in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 33 Tuesday .

    Coroner officials say Marcos Rosas Hernandez, 52, of Dallas, Texas was the driver of a vehicle that collided with a tree on Highway 33 near Twisselman Road in Lost Hills.

    The crash was reported around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13 and Hernandez was reported dead at the scene.

    Officials with the California Highway Patrol said the passenger in the vehicle was taken to Kern Medical with minor injuries. Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.
