BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two service centers are offering assistance to victims of the Borel Fire in Bakersfield and Lake Isabella, thanks to the Red Cross.

The Red Cross is asking any residents whose home was damaged and who have not met with a caseworker yet to visit two service centers for help. The service centers will be located at 6401 Lake Isabella Blvd., and 5035 Gilmore Avenue in Bakersfield. You are required to bring proof of identity and residence, according to organizers.

The Lake Isabella Center at 6401 Lake Isabella Blvd. is open Aug. 14 to 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Aug. 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Bakersfield Center at 5035 Gilmore Ave. is open Aug. 16 to 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

These meetings with caseworkers are crucial in determining specific needs after these disasters, according to organizers.

If affected residents are unable to physically visit the service centers, call the Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767.
