    Bill aimed to reduce overcrowding at animal shelters heads to Assembly Floor

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A bill aimed at helping to reduce overcrowding at animal shelters across the Golden State will advance to the Assembly Floor.

    Senator Scott Wilk proposed SB 1233 and hopes to expand access to low and no-cost spay and neuter services to pet owners.

    The bill heads to the Assembly after making it off the Assembly Appropriations Committee’s Suspense File.

    Another LAW NEEDS TO BE PASSED to make it MANDATORY for ALL PET OWNERS to SPAY AND NEUTER their pets! And once passed, it needs to be STRICTLY ENFORCED with HIGH MONETARY PENALTIES! PERIOD!!!

    The only way to deal with the over population is mandatory spay, and neutering! Once you get a handle on the problem, you could relax the rule a bit. And, by the way, these animals that are running around, are throw aways by the very people that once thought they were cute, until they grew up and because a responsibility...
