BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — An abstract art project inspired by exhibiting artist, Sydney Croskery, is coming to the Bakersfield Museum of Art Aug. 29.

Croskery is known for her style of letting the paint guide her paintings, then brings her own interpretation to it, according to Lauren Marty with the BMoA. The result of Croskery’s work is a commentary on modern day conflict. Her works attempts to get audiences to find common ground and just get along.

“Art After Dark” is happening next Thursday at 7 p.m. The night’s event will focus on participants creating their own abstract alcohol-ink project. Croskery will be in attendance guiding participants through their paintings.

You can also expect cocktails, DJ set by Eunith, self-expression, and of course art.
