3 drown near Seven Teacups in Tulare County

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Three people are dead after drowning near a hiking area in Tulare County on Friday afternoon, the Tulare County Fire Department said.

Fire officials responded to a possible drowning around Seven Teacups, a hiking area near Johnsondale in Tulare County just before 5:20 p.m. on Friday.

Upon arrival, firefighters say they found three people dead at the scene. Another victim was found sustaining major injuries. It is unknown as of Friday night if the fourth victim was transported to the hospital.

This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be provided as it becomes available. The identity of the three drowning victims has not been released.
