    SSD Alarm, Salty’s BBQ to host 22nd Annual Hero Appreciation event

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — SSD Alarm and Salty’s BBQ & Catering will honor local first responders with their 22nd Annual Hero Appreciation event.

    The event will feature teams from SSD Alarm and Salty’s BBQ serving BBQ lunches prepared on-site for first responders on Wednesday, Sept. 11.

    Police seek help in locating missing 63-year-old man last seen in north Bakersfield

    The complimentary lunch is open to all members of the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Bakersfield Police Department, California Highway Patrol and the Kern County and Bakersfield fire departments. The event aims to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice on Sept. 11, 2001, as well as those who serve and protect the community daily.

    Raffle prizes will be provided by SSD Alarm, and music will be played by 88.3 Life FM.

    The event will take place at SSD Alarm, located at 2701 Fruitvale Ave., with lunch served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
